Located on the sparkling banks of the James River, Camp Tomahawk is your official excuse to turn off your phone, throw on some sunscreen, and let the river wash away all those group texts you’ve been ignoring. We’re just 30 miles from Branson, Missouri — but a world away from errands, email chains, and lukewarm gas station pizza.

In 2025, Camp Tomahawk floated into a new era under fresh local ownership. Same beautiful river. Same chill vibes. Just a few new touches (like working Wi-Fi… just kidding, go outside).

💦 River Floats – Grab a tube, hop in the water, and drift like you’ve got absolutely nothing better to do (because you don’t).
🔥 Camping – Sleep under the stars with the soothing sounds of crickets, frogs, and your buddy forgetting how to set up a tent.
🎣 Outdoor Fun – Fish, swim, play on the shore, or pretend you’re on a wilderness survival show — we won’t judge.

We’re here for floaters, campers, day-trippers, and anyone ready to trade stress for sunshine. Bring your crew, pack your cooler (yes, we have cooler tubes), and come see why people have been kicking back here for decades.

Amazing time. Staff is amazing. Perfect for kids. Rafts for coolers. 2 miles took a solid 4 hours. Two rope swings. The best kid/family float ever. Our second time and we will be back.

Camp Tomahawk rocks! Three mom’s seven kids ages 5 thru 13 loved every minute of the float…both times we did it! Everyone working was super friendly. Our bus driver, Robert was a great bus driver and very informative. He is a super cool guy! This float would be great for any age. We are already making plans to return soon.
